Abstract

Background: Polypharmacy is increasing among cardiovascular patients, but national data on trends in statin users are limited. This study evaluated polypharmacy prevalence and trends among US adults on statins, focusing on differences by age, gender, race/ethnicity, education, poverty, insurance, and statin adherence.
